Designed as a new living space adjoining a traditional family home in Grade, Arcos de Valdevez, this project establishes a contemporary dialogue with the existing house. While expressing a distinct identity, the intervention draws inspiration from the character, materials and architectural language of the original building, reinterpreting them in a contemporary way.

Oriented towards the surrounding landscape and its remarkable views, the space was conceived as a place for gathering, relaxation and connection with nature. The balance between traditional references and contemporary design creates an atmosphere that feels both familiar and current, allowing the new addition to integrate naturally within its setting.
